Pentair has received several requests for information regarding our valve products and the California Lead Initiative. As you may know, on January 1, 2010, California legislation (California AB 1953) goes into effect limiting the lead content in plumbing fittings or fixtures intended to convey or dispense water for human consumption. To address this initiative, an American National Standard, known as Annex G, NSF/ANSI 61, was developed to determine product compliance with the 0.25% maximum weighted average lead content.
